A depressing article, but a must-read.

I always struggle with article like this.

Yes, I believe that we need to work to bring the level of violence (and sex) down in "popular culture".

But a probably unintended sutext is that humans aren't really bad, they are just poorly trained.

But this flies directly in the face of entire message of the Bible. Christ came, not only to teach how to live, but also to give of the means to be rid of the corrupt sin nature that defines us as human.

If all media depiction of violence were ended today, would in, say 20 years, homicide be back to pre 1950 levels? Somehow, I seriously doubt it.

But then, as a fairly strict Calvinist, I have a very pessimistic view of the human animal.
